A passionate and accomplished production designer with over 13 years of experience in the vibrant world of Indian cinema. From a young age, my love for painting sparked my creative journey, which eventually led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Painting. Eager to translate my artistic skills into a visual storytelling medium,
I ventured into the Indian film industry, where I Found my true calling as a production designer.
It was during this time that destiny intervened, as one of my students' fathers Saikat da recognized my talent and urged me to explore the realm of art direction in the film industry. This chance encounter opened the door to a world of possibilities, leading me to meet renowned editor Arghyakamal Mitra. His words echoed the sentiment of another distinguished filmmaker,Bappaditya Bandopadhyay,who believed that my creative abilities were tailor-made for the world of cinema.
Embracing their encouragement, Iembarked on my journey with esteemed production designers Gautam Bose and Nitish Roy. Under their mentorship, Ihoned my skills and gained invaluable hands-on experience, elevating my passion for art direction to new heights.
During my formative years, Ihad the privilege of learning from the insightful Rita Ghosh, who taught me understanding the importance of production design in the world of filmmaking. Through her guidance, I realized that production design is not only about creating visually stunning environments but also about enhancing the narrative and elevating the overall cinematic experience.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working on a diverse range of projects, collaborating with talented directors, producers, and cinematographers to bring their visions to life. As a production designer,I thrive on the challenges of transforming mere concepts into tangible and immersive worlds. Whether it's capturing the essence of a period piece, creating awe-inspiring sets for larger-than-life blockbusters, or building intricate environments for intimate character-driven dramas, I approach each project with an unwavering dedication to detail,authenticity,and innovation.
Throughout my career, Ihave been fortunate to work on numerous acclaimed films that have garnered both critical and commercial success. These projects have allowed me to collaborate with ,production teams, and technicians, providing me with a rich and diverse set of experiences that continually fuel my passion for my craft.
